I am so inspired by nester and the various other inspirational blogging gals I have found! As I look at their pictures I envision myself creating these colorful, inviting areas into my home once and for all! No longer will my house dream of color as it sits in white and black neverland!
Well, I do have some walls painted already and in memory of the love of the house colors in fireproof, I painted our bathroom a lovely yellow and it has plaid accents. So pretty!

Now my next phase...as soon as I saw the article from nester about mistreating tables I knew I had to re-create it! Here is my attempt and I am thrilled with it as it secretly contains preschool board games, numerous unused Disney VHS and a few other miscellaneous items that don't need to stick out and annoy! This turned out very nicely on a bookshelf my uncle made me years ago that is more function than looks to begin with! Not only that, I love that it only took me...10 minutes! Now that is decorating I can handle! :) Thanks for the great ideas!

SO EXCITED!!!!

I planned on saving up money around Christmas for a concert that I knew was coming to town finally---Israel & the New Breed. But you know how the holidays happen and we paid our taxes, bills, went on vacation and let that thought flow in the breeze of good intentions! I have been a little heartbroken knowing it was coming up tomorrow night but not having the money to put towards it!

SO.......

My darling husband just called to let me know he won two tickets from work!!! I am stoked!!!
I have never been to a Christian concert, but I absolutely love Israel! We are so thankful!!

One Month Down...

It is hard to believe we are just a few days away from February! It has remained cold here so we have been cooped up doing a lot of reading together and house cleaning. I thoroughly enjoyed taking last Saturday with my husband and overhauling the house for 5 hours! It looks spring fresh now! Amazing what some de-cluttering can do for you mentally and visually!
In the next few days I will post some pics of our clean house, Koda's new braces and also a pic of our friends that are moving back to GA. *sniff*

I will get better at posting on here, especially now that I finally got my background changed after trying for the past WEEK!

Cabin Fever!

I have not been terribly consistent throughout the holidays with my blog. But I finally got out of the house today on purpose for something other than milk and I felt very refreshed by it all!
Although I am much overdue for a nail appt and could have thought of many other things to be productive at like hitting the Target sales I am hearing much about...instead I took my two boys to the mall to blow off some steam and get out of our house! I did fit in a donation to goodwill and a haircut for Dakota, but the rest of the time was pure lack of purpose--I promise! :)

That $20 off $50 coupon from AE was totally burning a hole in my purse! I am thrilled to say that I was able to pick up two pair of jeans for Dakota, a pair of unmentionables (undies) and some moccasin lined slippers for me all for the great price of $29.xx! Perfect! (I had to return a pair of socks, so that is why it wasn't over $30).

Tomorrow I am headed for more lazy bliss! I am meeting up with a fellow church member/homeschooler/friend and both our Kaiden/Caden's to spend the morning at the indoor farmer's market and leisurely have time to talk while our boys have a playdate! Perfect! It sounds so white picket fence, I had to share since that is not often the stencil I see penciled around my life! ;)
